Information sign installed at the entrance to the castle ruins
On October 17, 2026, the Turmhölzle Ruins Preservation Society installed an information sign at the entrance to the castle. It was a rainy day (see photo of the information sign). Society member Thomas Dattler had crafted a base for the sign out of weather-resistant oak in the shape of the society’s logo, which was used to secure the sign to a tree.
The information sign shows a floor plan of the ruins as well as key historical facts about the castle. More detailed information about the ruins and their history can be accessed via a QR code that links to the association’s website. The information sign also provides guidelines on what to keep in mind when visiting the ruins.
